Marine Coaxial Speakers
Great sounding marine speakers can really improve your boating experience. Most marine speakers are built to last the test of water and vibration compared to regular speakers. Marine speakers also sound different in that they are built more an open space to overcome engine noise, wind, waves, and other boats.
Marine Speakers with Horn tweeters
A marine speaker with a horn tweeter has been around for longer than ones with a dome tweeter. The main benefit with a horn tweeter is the ability for it to play louder than a regular tweeter. Also a horn tweeter has higher efficiency so it requires less power to produce the same volume.
Marine Tower Speakers
Marine tower speakers are meant for the surfers behind the boat. A lot of these speakers are made with horn tweeters because of the directivity and the distance horn speakers can travel. Some of them are able to be disconnected and taken off easily depending on the design for storage purposes. Others can also be pivoted so you can direct the sound to wherever you want.
Marine Soundbar
Marine soundbar is another option for speakers in a boat. You can have a powered and a non-powered soundbar depending on whether an external amplifier is used. Soundbars are used easy for installation and sounds loud. The disadvantage of soundbars are the lack of midbass and bass. It is recommended to pair with a subwoofer for sure to get a fuller music experience.
