Radio
Installed a Kenwood Excelon radio in the factory location for a clean, seamless fit. The Excelon series is designed for superior sound quality, making it a key component in the overall system performance.
Focal Slatefibre Tweeter
The Focal tweeters were mounted on the A-pillars using the included pods from the Slatefiber 6.5" component set. The result looks clean and factory-like, while significantly improving sound quality. This positioning directs the tweeters toward the listener, enhancing imaging and preserving fine detail without loss
Focal Slatefibre 6.5" Woofer
The speakers were installed behind the seats in 6.5" enclosures, fitting neatly within the available space. Two were placed on either side of the truck, adding the mid-bass the system needed and improving overall fullness.
Amplifier
A JBL DSP amplifier was used in this build to power all the speakers and allow for precise tuning, bringing out the best performance within the limits of each driver. Its compact design keeps it discreet and well-integrated into the vehicle. The amp was mounted on a PVC panel, creating a clean and secure installation. This system is configured as a fully active setup for optimal control and sound quality.
Audison Active Subwoofer
While compact in size, this subwoofer delivers impressive output comparable to dual 10" subs. It fits neatly behind the seat, making it an excellent space-saving solution without sacrificing performance. As an active subwoofer, it features a built-in amplifier and DSP, requiring only power, ground, and signal for installation. The integrated DSP is expertly tuned to maximize efficiency, producing deep, impactful bass well beyond what you would expect from its size
